The Northeastern Loggers’ Association (NELA) Scholarships are competitive awards that provide financial assistance to the immediate family members of Individual Members, employees, and Industrial and Associate Members of NELA (Northeastern Loggers Association). With up to eight awards available each year, ranging from $500 to $1,000, applicants are required to submit a written, audio, or video essay, or captioned photo on a given topic related to logging and the forest products industry. The program is open to seniors in high school, students in an associate or technical degree program, and students in a bachelor’s degree program. The Northeastern Loggers’ Association (NELA) serves its membership and the public by advocating for the wise stewardship of their forest resources. NELA develops programs that help members produce products and environmental benefits to meet the needs of the American people.
