Are you a high school senior planning to major in a subject other than music or art at a university in Washington state? If so, consider applying for the Nellie Martin Carman Scholarship! The scholarship is open to incoming college students from select Washington counties who are pursuing a non-music or art major at a university within the state of Washington.
The program is offered by the Nellie Martin Carman Scholarship Fund, a nonprofit corporation dedicated to supporting and empowering students from King, Snohomish, and Pierce Counties by providing financial assistance. The scholarship is in honor of Nellie Martin Carman, a former Seattle resident with a long-time devotion to Washington state. Each year, the scholarship awards $2,000 to multiple recipients to help pay for their education. If you plan to attend a college or university in Washington and would like some help paying tuition, we encourage you to apply!

Eligibility information
The scholarship is open to high school seniors from specific Washington state counties (King, Pierce, Snohomish) who will be pursuing non-music or art majors at in-state colleges full-time. Applicants must also demonstrate financial need and be nominated by their school counselor. Lastly, you must meet the below eligibility requirements.

Application information
After being nominated, applicants must submit an online application, a copy of their Student Aid Report, a recent picture, proof of their U.S. citizenship, and the below application materials.
