    Are you a Montana resident and undergraduate student who is the dependent or spouse of a Montana Firefighter or Peace Officer who was killed in the course and scope of employment? If so, you may be eligible for the Montana University System Surviving Dependents of Montana Firefighters/Peace Officers Waiver. Each year, the waiver is awarded to multiple undergraduate students from Montana whose guardians/spouses were Montana Firefighters or Peace Officers who passed away on the job. Recipients may continue to receive these waivers for additional years if they “make reasonable academic progress.” If this sounds like a good opportunity for you, we encourage you to apply.
