The Mitchell/Tufts Scholarship was established with the goal of making a college degree or vocational certification possible for members or persons active in the life of a Presbyterian church in the Presbyterian Church USA (PCUSA) in North Central Texas, or in Los Angeles and surrounding communities, who are students of promise and can demonstrate financial need. Each year, the scholarship is awarded to multiple current or incoming undergraduate students who are active in the life of a Presbyterian church in the Presbyterian Church USA, in North Central Texas, or in Los Angeles and surrounding communities. Applicants should also demonstrate financial need and have previous work or community service experience.
