Michigan residents with a minimum 1200 SAT score, check out the Michigan Competitive Scholarship!
Every year, the scholarship awards up to $1,500 per academic year to undergraduates at either a Michigan public degree-granting community college or university, or a private or independent degree-granting non-profit institution in Michigan. To qualify, applicants must also have received a minimum 1200 SAT score, demonstrate financial need, be a Michigan resident (since July 1 of the previous calendar year), and be enrolled at least half-time. Dependent students must bear in mind that their parent(s) must also have been a Michigan resident since the previous year to qualify for the scholarship. Completion of the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is required to apply.

The Office of Postsecondary Financial Planning, located within the Michigan Department of Treasury, encourages students to pursue postsecondary education by providing equality of access to student financial resources and information. Through the administration of various student financial assistance programs, students receive the guidance and funding necessary to pursue their educational goals.
