The Michael McMillen, Jr. Memorial Scholarship Fund is dedicated to supporting students who are passionate about pursuing careers in the caring professions. This scholarship is specifically designed for those who are interested in fields such as health, counseling, social work, early childhood education, or eldercare. Applicants must be residents of Brooksville, Maine, whether because they live full-time in Brooksville, or if they are under the age of 26 and have family still living full-time in Brooksville.

The Brooksville Education Foundation is a family of funds housed at the Maine Community Foundation, created by and for the residents of Brooksville, Maine. It has been expanding educational opportunities for more than 20 years through scholarships for Brooksville residents pursuing post-secondary education and grants to support education programs for younger Brooksville students.
