The MHEC Senatorial Scholarship is a fantastic opportunity for Maryland residents looking to pursue a postsecondary credential. Whether you plan to study full-time or part-time, at a two-year or four-year Maryland college, university or private career school, this scholarship could be the perfect fit for you. To apply, simply take the SAT 1 or the ACT (unless you graduated from high school five or more years ago), and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online by March 1st. If you’re ineligible for federal financial aid, don’t worry – you may still be eligible for in-state tuition and can submit the Maryland State Financial Aid Application (MSFAA) instead. Head to the scholarship site for more information and details about Out-of-State Exceptions.
The Maryland Higher Education Commission (MHEC) is the State of Maryland's higher education coordinating board responsible for establishing statewide policies for Maryland public and private colleges and universities and for-profit career schools.
