Are you a Mississippi resident and post-secondary student who is active in a United Methodist congregation or Wesley Foundation in Mississippi? If so, you may be eligible for the Methodist Foundation of Mississippi College Scholarship! Each year, the scholarship is awarded to multiple such students who submit a current photo of themselves, a resume, transcript, pastor certification, and an essay. New applicants’ essays should discuss themselves, their faith, their perception of generosity, their life goals & the legacy they would like to leave, while renewal/returning applicants’ essays should include updates about themselves, faith, generosity, & how the Methodist Foundation of Mississippi is helping them achieve their goals & how it has enabled them to leave a legacy. The Methodist Foundation of Mississippi works to provide a place for individuals to give gifts, memorials, honorariums, bequests, stock transfers, and donor advised funds to support their ministries. For churches and organizations, they provide a place to invest funds in their Short and Long Term accounts and to discover financial and educational materials that affect congregation and organization members.
