The Memorial Education Scholarship for Graduate Studies annually awards at least $3,000 to current and incoming female graduate students with legal residence in Massachusetts who are pursuing the scholarship’s selected “course of study” for the year. While the course of study is “Special Education” for the current year, bear in mind that this may change. Thus, we recommend checking out the General Federation of Women’s Clubs of Massachusetts website to confirm you’re eligible before applying.
If you are eligible, you must submit a completed application that includes the following: a Letter of Reference from a college department chair or recent employer, a copy of their Massachusetts Driver’s License or Massachusetts Identification Card, and confirmation of acceptance to a graduate level program. The General Federation of Women's Clubs, since it was founded in 1980, has been a unifying force, bringing together local women's clubs from around the country and throughout the world. Although there is considerable diversity in the ages, interests, and experiences of GFWC clubwomen, all are united by a dedication to community improvement through volunteer service.
