Offered by Marsha's Angels
Marsha Ann Yarnell was a hardworking and beloved daughter, friend, and nurse who dedicated over 30 years of her life to tending others back to health. For her last 22 years, she worked as a labor and delivery nurse in Wichita, Kansas. If you’re a Kansas-based student aspiring to follow in Marsha’s footsteps and become a nurse, Marsha’s Angels may have the perfect scholarship opportunity for you.
Each year, the Marsha’s Angels Scholarship Fund awards $2,000 per year to multiple Kansas-based students who have either (a) completed all prerequisites and are ready to enter the first year of an accredited two-year nursing program (RN) or (b) four-year BSN program students who will have completed the first two years of general studies and pre-requisites and are ready for the final two years of nurses training (RN). Applicants must also either be from Sedgwick County, Kansas, or a surrounding county, or plan to attend a nursing program in one such county to qualify. Alternatively, applicants are eligible if they are enrolling in St. Luke’s College of Health Sciences in Kansas City, Missouri, Marsha’s alma mater.
If this sounds like a good fit for you, we encourage you to apply, and carry on Marsha’s legacy! Keep on reading to learn more.
