The Scholarships360 Research Team reviews all scholarships individually and strives to exclude any scholarship where any of the below applies:

  • The scholarship requires a fee to apply
  • The scholarship provider’s privacy policy allows for the misuse of student data
  • The scholarship requires paid membership in an organization (with certain exceptions for reputable trade organizations and others)
  • Student are required to sign up for a site or service to apply*
  • The scholarship seems primarily used for lead generation** or idea harvesting purposes***
  • The scholarship website has many grammatical errors and/or advertisements
  • The scholarship or scholarship providing organization seem untrustworthy
  • There is no evidence the scholarship was previously awarded
  • The scholarship has not been awarded in the past 12 months
  • There is no available contact information

* There are certain exceptions to this, for example if the sponsoring organization is a major corporation or nonprofit with its own scholarship application system.

Scholarship Overview

Are you a graduating Learning Ally high school senior member with a learning disability? If so, consider applying for the Marion Huber Learning Through Listening Award! The Marion Huber Learning Through Listening Award is open to graduating Learning Ally high school senior members with learning disabilities who plan to pursue postsecondary education.

The scholarship is offered by Learning Ally, a leading nonprofit education solutions organization devoted to transforming the lives of early and struggling learners through proven solutions to improve literacy. This scholarship of theirs is in honor of the long-term and loyal donor to Learning Ally, Marion Huber, who was particularly committed to its mission of engaging students with learning disabilities. Each year, the scholarship awards the top winners $6,000 each and special honors winners $2,000 each to help them cover the costs of their education. If you have a learning disability, are passionate about continuing your education, and are looking for help funding college, we encourage you to apply!

Eligibility information

In order to be eligible for this scholarship, you must be a graduating Learning Ally high school senior member with a learning disability who plans to continue their education after graduation. Applicants must also meet the below eligibility requirements.
