Are you an aspiring pilot between the ages of 16 and 24? If so, consider applying for the Lyons Aviation Scholarship! The scholarship is open to individuals who will be available to complete pilot training to obtain a Private Pilot Certificate within the next six months. The scholarship is offered by the Lyons Aviation Foundation, a private foundation looking to provide financial support and encouragement to future pilots. For over 66 years, the Lyons family has given deserving individuals the opportunity to pursue a career in aviation as professional pilots by providing financial support. Every year, they award between $1,500 and the entire cost of obtaining a private pilot certificate to winning recipients of their Lyons Aviation Scholarship. If you are passionate about becoming a pilot and are looking for some help paying for your certification, we encourage you to apply!

Eligibility information
The scholarship is open to individuals between the ages of 16 and 24 who will be available to complete pilot training to obtain a Private Pilot Certificate within the next six months. Applicants must also be able to obtain a FAA Third-Class Medical certificate and meet the below eligibility requirements.
