The Lillian and Arthur Dunn Scholarship is a prestigious award that recognizes the academic excellence of two exceptional students each year. This scholarship is open to the sons and daughters of NSDAR members who are pursuing a four-year college degree. Exceptional recipients who continue their studies at the graduate level may reapply for up to four additional years of funding. To apply, candidates must include their mother’s DAR member number and submit between two and four recommendations, along with a one-page resume. The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) is a non-profit, non-political volunteer women's service organization dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving American history, and securing America's future through better education for children. Each year, DAR awards multiple scholarships to students showing dedication to the pursuit of higher education in diverse areas of study including history, economics, law, political science, medicine, nursing, occupational and physical therapy, elementary and secondary education, chemistry, math, science, and English.
