Are you a woman in medical school who is passionate about helping the LGBTQ+ community? If so, you may be interested in the LGBTQ Leadership Scholarship! The scholarship is open to female medical students in the U.S. and Canada who have demonstrated leadership in the LGBTQ+ community. Those in their first, second, and third year of allopathic, osteopathic, and naturopathic medical schools are eligible.
The scholarship is offered by Women in Medicine (WIM), a network of LGBTQ+, female physicians that come together to conduct an annual Women in Medicine Conference. Such events focus on promoting medical education, community building, and professional mentorship among the members. Every year, two applicants of the LGBTQ Leadership Scholarship are selected to receive a $5,000 award to fund their education. To receive the scholarship, the winners must attend the annual Women in Medicine Conference. If this sounds like a good opportunity for you, we encourage you to apply!
