The Julian & Jan Hester Memorial Scholarship is a fantastic opportunity for Georgia high school seniors who are planning to attend a Georgia university, college, or technical institute in the upcoming Fall semester. This scholarship aims to promote community banking and assist deserving students in their first year of college. The scholarship awards $1,000 to four (4) applicants each year based on academic merit, not financial need. To be considered, students must be sponsored by a local community bank, complete an activity record showcasing their leadership skills, write a short essay on community banking, and provide teacher recommendations and an official high school transcript.
