Are you a college-bound high school senior attending Hot Springs High School (HSHS) in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico? If so, consider applying for the Joe “Isi” Trujillo Scholarship! The scholarship was established in honor of Joe “Isi” Trujillo, an outstanding athlete and alumnus of HSHS who went on to become a Congressionally approved Senior Executive. Each year, the scholarship awards $2,000 to one applicant from Hot Springs High School who is planning on attending an in-state, two- or four-year university. To be considered for the scholarship, interested students must submit two 250-word statements answering the questions “How will you give back to the community now or in the future?” and “What is a challenge or adversity you have overcome or faced throughout your life?” If you’re a senior at Hot Springs High School planning on attending a New Mexican university, we encourage you to apply!
