The scholarship is open to undergraduate and graduate students in the U.S. pursuing a degree in architecture, civil engineering, construction management, or another program closely related to accessibility and universal design.
This scholarship honors the memory of Jim Boyce, a former APA member who made a “lasting impact in the field of accessibility compliance.” To honor his legacy, every year, multiple students working towards careers in accessibility are awarded a scholarship of $2,000. If you are a student passionate about your degree in architecture or a related field and are looking for a scholarship opportunity, we encourage you to apply!
The Accessibility Professionals Association (APA) is a nonprofit organization of professionals focusing on providing accessibility in the built environment. Their mission is to support members, promote the services provided, and participate in developing, interpreting, and encouraging the adoption of accessibility regulations.
