Are you a college student majoring in architecture, civil engineering, construction management, or a related field? If so, consider applying for the Jim Boyce Memorial Scholarship! The scholarship is open to undergraduate and graduate students in the U.S. pursuing a degree in architecture, civil engineering, construction management, or another program closely related to accessibility and universal design.
The program is offered by the Accessibility Professionals Association (APA), a nonprofit organization of professionals focusing on providing accessibility in the built environment. Their mission is to support members, promote the services provided, and participate in developing, interpreting, and encouraging the adoption of accessibility regulations. This scholarship of theirs honors the memory of Jim Boyce, a former APA member who made a “lasting impact in the field of accessibility compliance.” To honor his legacy, every year, multiple students working towards careers in accessibility are awarded a scholarship of $2,000. Eligibility information
This scholarship is open to post-secondary students enrolled in architecture, landscape architecture, civil engineering, construction management, interior design, or other degree programs closely related to accessibility/universal design at an accredited U.S. institution. Applicants must also meet the below eligibility requirements.
