    Scholarship Overview

    The Jack R. Gilstrap Scholarship is the ultimate prize for those aiming for excellence. It’s awarded to the applicant with the highest overall score, and it’s open to anyone pursuing advanced degrees. To qualify, you must be enrolled in an accredited institution and show a genuine passion for the public transportation industry. Plus, you’ll need a sponsor from any member organization of the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) and two letters of recommendation. If you’re a returning scholar, only one letter of recommendation is required.
