The Scholarships360 Research Team reviews all scholarships individually and strives to exclude any scholarship where any of the below applies:

  • The scholarship requires a fee to apply
  • The scholarship provider’s privacy policy allows for the misuse of student data
  • The scholarship requires paid membership in an organization (with certain exceptions for reputable trade organizations and others)
  • Student are required to sign up for a site or service to apply*
  • The scholarship seems primarily used for lead generation** or idea harvesting purposes***
  • The scholarship website has many grammatical errors and/or advertisements
  • The scholarship or scholarship providing organization seem untrustworthy
  • There is no evidence the scholarship was previously awarded
  • The scholarship has not been awarded in the past 12 months

Scholarship Overview

Are you a high school sophomore, junior, or senior from Iowa with a passion for the performing arts? If so, consider applying for the Iowa Merit Awards for Dramatic Performance! Each year, the scholarship awards up to $1,000 to multiple aspiring actors from Iowa high schools who are (1) studying acting and (2) have acted in official school productions sometime in the past two years. About The Donna Reed Foundation

The Donna Reed Foundation for the Performing Arts is a nonprofit organization chartered as a 501(c)(3) charitable entity. Its missions are to: (1) promote continuous excellence in education, the performing arts, and community to students of all ages, (2) memorialize Donna's story, achievement, and leadership through the preservation of historical assets such as personal archives and a landmark opera house as a legacy to all who share her dream, and (3) inspire service and commitment within its communities, membership, and partnerships that sustain a momentum well into the twenty-first century.
