Are you of Chinese (at least 1/4th) descent and reside (or have a parent/guardian who resides in) the Greater Houston Metropolitan Area? If so, you may be eligible for some of the Houston Chinese Professional Club Scholarships! There are four types of scholarships available: the General Scholarship, the Financial Aid Scholarship, the Education Award, and the Excellence in Pharmacy Award. While they are all open to students of Chinese (at least 1/4th) descent who reside (or have parents residing in) the Greater Houston Metro Area, some also have additional, other eligibility requirements that applicants must meet. The Chinese Professional Club of Houston aims to improve the professional knowledge and business skills of its members through periodic seminars, lectures, and roundtable discussions. They hope to promote the general welfare of the community through raising funds for scholarships and other activities and to advance the mutual understanding and social enjoyment of the members through regular social gatherings. Their vision is to bring together Chinese Americans to a higher horizon - professionally and socially. It is to reach out to other organizations, to collaborate with other organizations in special projects, and to integrate into the mainstream.
There are four types of Houston Chinese Professional Club Scholarships available. Thus, the eligibility requirements listed below simply reflect the general requirements for all the types of scholarships. Specific scholarships may have additional eligibility criteria that can be found on the Chinese Professional Club of Houston website.
