Scholarship Overview

Do you wish to pursue a career or technical education at an accredited, post-secondary institution within the United States? You might consider applying for one of the many Horatio Alger Career & Technical Scholarships! Dedicated to helping young students who have overcome hardships at a young age, this scholarship offers $2,500 to up to 500 students each year. In order to apply, you must be enrolled full-time at a post-secondary institution for the upcoming school year and be committed to completing your career or technical program. Additional scholarship opportunities (worth up to $10,000) are available for students planning to attend specific schools. Because eligibility criteria vary between scholarships, we recommend visiting the scholarship provider’s website for additional details to see if you qualify. Eligibility information

This scholarship is open to high school seniors and recent graduates who will be enrolled full-time in a career or technical program at a postsecondary university this upcoming Fall. Applicants must also be under the age of 35, be U.S. citizens, and demonstrate critical financial need ($65,000 or lower adjusted gross family income OR Pell Grant eligibility are required).
