Do you or an immediate family member have an inherited bleeding disorder? Further, do you live in the territorial jurisdiction of VHF, which includes the State of Virginia, with the exception of the cities of Alexandria, Fairfax, Falls Church, Herndon, Manassas, and Vienna and the counties of Arlington, Fairfax, Fauquier, Loudon, Prince William and Stafford? If so, you may be eligible for the Lyman Fisher Scholarship! Each year, the scholarship awards $2,000 to ~2 applicants whose lives are impacted by an inherited bleeding disorder and who live in the territorial jurisdiction of VHF. To apply, interested students must submit a narrative essay, a biographical sketch of themselves, a statement of financial need, and two letters of recommendation.

Applicants must (1) have an inherited bleeding disorder of have an immediate family member with an inherited bleeding disorder and (2) live in the territorial jurisdiction of VHF (includes the State of Virginia, with the exception of the cities of Alexandria, Fairfax, Falls Church, Herndon, Manassas, and Vienna and the counties of Arlington, Fairfax, Fauquier, Loudon, Prince William and Stafford).
