The Hawaii Education Association’s “In-Service Public School Educators Scholarship” is awarded to support study or training for tenured and/or permanent Hawaii State Department of Education (HIDOE) pre-K-12 teachers, administrators or educational assistants. Preference is given to candidates who are completing a State Approved Program leading to teacher licensing, school administrator certification, or HIDOE ParaPro minimum qualifications. To apply, you must either have a Baccalaureate degree or be enrolled in an Associate in Arts in Teaching or Certification of Competence teaching program.
The Hawaii Education Association has been dedicated to affirming the professionalism of Hawaii's teachers and supporting excellence in education since its founding in 1921. Throughout HEA's history, loyal and committed members have supported the organization through generous annual donations to support scholarships for pre-service education and active teachers.
