The Hattie Tedrow Memorial Fund Scholarship awards up to $2,000 to college-bound high school seniors from North Dakota who are direct descendants of a veteran with honorable service in the U.S. military. Recipients will have two years from the date of graduation from high school to use his/her award. If you fit these criteria and are looking for some help expensing college, we encourage you to apply! The American Legion Department of North Dakota is a war-time veterans community-service organization dedicated to supporting veterans and their families. The Department thus provides aid to veterans and sponsors youth programs to maintain an ongoing concern, support and commitment to the veteran community. In addition, the American Legion is strongly committed to maintaining a strong national defense.
