The Han C. Choi Scholarship awards $5,000 to a 1L or 2L law student who showcases outstanding academic prowess, exceptional leadership skills, a passion for volunteerism, and a strong commitment to mentoring others. The scholarship was created to pay tribute to the remarkable Han C. Choi, a true trailblazer, mentor, and leader who exemplifies unwavering determination and bravery in the face of adversity. Special consideration will be given to applicants who have been adversely affected by cancer as a survivor, or to family members of a victim or survivor. To apply, simply submit two recommendation letters, and while optional, a FAFSA Form or Financial Need Analysis can also be included. More than 20 years later, the NAPABA Law Foundation has awarded thousands of dollars in scholarships to law students, supported recent law graduates interested in pursuing public interest work within the Asian Pacific American community, and promoted the interests of Asian Pacific Americans everywhere.
