The GSK Opportunity Scholarship provides annual scholarships of up to $5,000 (renewable for up to 3 additional years) to college-bound Triangle residents (Orange, Wake, and Durham counties in North Carolina) who demonstrate the potential to succeed despite adversity and an exceptional desire to improve themselves through further education/training. To be eligible, applicants must have a minimum 2.5 GPA and plan to attend a college or university in North Carolina.
Scholarship payments may be used for any post-secondary “cost of attendance” and are made annually for up to four years (up to $5,000 per year), as long as the recipient maintains good academic standing and submits semester reports in order to continue receiving funding.
