The Greater Washington Society of CPAs Scholarship annually awards between $3,000 and $5,000 to post-secondary students attending a university with an accredited accounting program located within a 25-mile radius of the White House (eligible universities can be found under “Eligibility Information”). Eligible undergraduate applicants must be at least rising seniors to be considered for the undergraduate awards, or be entering an accounting-related graduate program for to be considered for the graduate awards. In addition, applicants must have completed at least 9 credit hours in accounting, be US citizens or permanent US residents, and intend to sit for the CPA exam.
