Scholarship Overview

The AMS Graduate Fellowship in the History of Science is to be awarded to a student in the process of completing a dissertation on the history of the atmospheric or related oceanic or hydrologic sciences. The Society encourages applications from women, minorities, and disabled students, traditionally underrepresented in the atmospheric and related oceanic and hydrologic sciences. Candidates must be pursuing a degree at a U.S. institution. Applicants must submit a cover letter with vitae, a typewritten, detailed description of the dissertation topic and proposed research plan, and three letters of recommendation.
