Are you a high school senior with a demonstrated track record of academic achievement and one or more parents who are full-time employees in the financial services industry? If you are, the Gordon A. Rich Memorial Scholarship may be a good fit for you! Each year, the Gordon A. Rich (“GAR”) Memorial Foundation awards scholarships to up to seven hardworking, academically gifted students with parents who work in the financial services field. These scholarships are worth $12,500 per year and may be renewed for up to four years. This totals to $50,000 over the course of one’s undergraduate career! Additionally, if you are chosen as the recipient of the Parkman Prize, you will win an additional $5,000! The Parkman Prize winner is the student with the highest GPA for the application cycle.
Gordon A. Rich was an individual of extraordinary talent, energy, and persistence with a passion for life and people. The GAR Memorial Foundation was created with the mission of continuing his legacy by awarding grants and scholarships to support the higher education goals of recipients. In order to be eligible for this scholarship, you must be the dependent child of full-time employees who have at least five years of experience in the financial services industry (commercial banks, investment banks, securities brokerage firms, insurance companies, fund and asset management companies, credit card and finance companies and similar businesses as determined by the Foundation). You must also meet the eligibility criteria below.
