The Glenn W. Oyler Memorial Technical Scholarship will be awarded to provide financial assistance to degree or certificate-seeking welding students enrolled in a community college or technical institute. To apply, students must provide a letter of reference indicating how they will use their welding education. While one award will be made to a student attending a technical institute or community college in New Mexico, another will be made to a student attending a technical institute or community college in Pennsylvania. If you’re a proud New Mexican or Pennsylvanan welding student, we encourage you to apply!
The American Welding Society (AWS) was founded in 1919, as a nonprofit organization with a global mission: Advancing the science, technology, and application of welding and allied joining and cutting processes, including brazing, soldering and thermal spraying.
