The Gladys Ann Smith Greater Los Angeles Women’s Council Scholarship is open to college-bound high school seniors who will be properly enrolled in any curriculum at an accredited institution of higher education in the upcoming Fall semester who are the child or grandchild of a member of the Sea Services, including the United States Navy, United States Marine Corps, United States Coast Guard, and U.S.-flag Merchant Marine. Active duty sea service men and women, as well as members of the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps, are also eligible. The $2,500 scholarship can be renewed an additional three times, potentially totaling $10,000 over the course of one’s undergraduate education.

In addition to the below application materials, interested students must submit an official SAT/ACT score report, their FAFSA Student Aid Report, and proof of qualifying service duty (discharge papers, military/dependent’s ID, birth certificates, etc.).
