Have you been accepted to or plan to be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program this upcoming academic year to study computer science, computer engineering, or a similar field? Further, do you believe in the importance of improving the representation of underrepresented groups in computer science and technology? If so, consider applying for the Generation Google Scholarship! Each year, the scholarship awards $10,000 USD or $5,000 CAD to winning applicants with the strongest essays and other application materials. The scholarship is offered by Google in order to “help aspiring students pursuing computer science degrees excel in technology and become leaders in the field.” While any student who meets the minimum qualifications may apply, women and racial/ethnic minorities are strongly encouraged to apply.
