Are you a GCSAA (Golf Course Superintendents Association of America) member enrolled in a recognized undergraduate program in a major field related to turf management? Further, have you completed at least 24 credit hours or the equivalent of one year of full-time study in your major? If so, the GCSAA Scholars Competition may be a great opportunity for you! Each year, the scholarship awards between $500 and $6,000 to outstanding students planning careers in golf and turfgrass management. Marginalized or underrepresented groups are highly encouraged to apply. In addition, students who are citizens of countries other than the United States may apply for the Ambassador Award, a special scholarship for outstanding international students.

The GCSAA (Golf Course Superintendents Association of America) is dedicated to serving its members, advancing their profession and improving communities through the enjoyment, growth and vitality of the game of golf. GCSAA believes in investing in the future of the profession. To ensure this, GCSAA's philanthropic arm, the GCSAA Foundation, administers a number of different scholarships for students pursuing careers in the golf course industry, future turfgrass researchers and educators, children and grandchildren of GCSAA members, and foreign students studying in the United States.
This scholarship is open to students meeting the below eligibility criteria.
College Sophomores, Juniors & Seniors
U.S. Citizens, Canadian Citizens, Other
Applicants must (1) be GCSAA members and (2) be enrolled in an accredited program related to golf/turfgrass management.
In addition to the below application materials, interested students must submit an Advisor's Report and a Superintendent's Report (must be completed by a golf course superintendent for whom you have worked).
