The Garden Club of America Awards for Summer Environmental Studies is an amazing opportunity allowing undergraduate students to gain knowledge and experience in the environmental field beyond the regular course of study. Each year, the scholarship awards $3,000 to an undergraduate who has demonstrated a keen interest in the betterment of the environment. The scholarship will be used for summer studies at a site chosen by the student. Some of the summer programs students have completed recently include the study of hazardous waste, marine science, energy, plant resources in the tropics, barrier island ecology, and oil spill cleanup and control.
