Are you a full-time college student with low vision? If so, you might consider applying for the Fred Scheigert Scholarship! This scholarship is open to incoming college freshmen, current college students, and graduate students. The scholarship is funded by The Council of Citizens with Low Vision International (CCLVI), an affiliate of the American Council of the Blind. The awarding committee is looking for an applicant with a strong GPA and involvement in school/local community activities. Each year, 3 students are awarded this scholarship in the amount of $3,000 to help pay for their education.
This scholarship is offered to students with low vision from 20/70 in the better eye with the best possible correction, or a field no greater than 30 degrees and to those who are legally blind and have some usable vision. Students must also meet the below eligibility requirements.
