Are you an incoming college freshman pursuing an engineering or science-related degree through a U.S. ABET-accredited program with an interest in mobility (Automotive, Ground, or Air)? If so, the Fred M. Young Sr./SAE Engineering Scholarship may be a great opportunity for you! Each year, the scholarship awards $1,000 to the applicant who submits the best essay answering the prompt “Detail how 2 traits of an engineer (from list provided) apply to them.” Applicants should have also served in a leadership role inside or outside of school and be able to outline how their leadership skills were developed, the size of the team(s) led, and how their personal leadership skills will benefit them in their future careers. This scholarship was established to honor the legacy of the founder of Young Radiator Co., Fred M. Young Sr.
