The Scholarships360 Research Team reviews all scholarships individually and strives to exclude any scholarship where any of the below applies:

  • The scholarship requires a fee to apply
  • The scholarship provider’s privacy policy allows for the misuse of student data
  • The scholarship requires paid membership in an organization (with certain exceptions for reputable trade organizations and others)
  • Student are required to sign up for a site or service to apply*
  • The scholarship seems primarily used for lead generation** or idea harvesting purposes***
  • The scholarship website has many grammatical errors and/or advertisements
  • The scholarship or scholarship providing organization seem untrustworthy
  • There is no evidence the scholarship was previously awarded
  • The scholarship has not been awarded in the past 12 months

Scholarship Overview

Are you related to or are a member of the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, or Coast Guard pursuing a degree? If so, consider applying for the FRA Education Foundation Scholarships! The scholarships are open to U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard members, and their relatives pursuing any type of postsecondary education. The scholarships are funded by the Fleet Reserve Association (FRA), a non-profit organization that advocates for service members, veterans, and their families, and helps deserving students reach their educational and professional goals. To contribtute to this mission, their scholarships award up to $5,000 to help lucky recipients fund their educations. If you are a member or relative of a veteran or service member and are looking for a scholarship opportunity, we encourage you to apply!

Eligibility information

The scholarship is open to students who are affiliated with the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, or Coast Guard through their own service or that of family members and who are studying full-time at an accredited U.S. trade school, community college, college or university. Applicants must also meet the below eligibility requirements.
