Are you a current or incoming undergraduate student who is the biological, adopted, or step-child of a police officer, firefighter, EMT, or paramedic in Jackson, Barrow, Banks, or Madison County in Georgia? If so, the First Responder Dependent Scholarship may be a great opportunity for you! Each year, the scholarship awards $7,000 to one (1) child of a public safety officer or emergency services provider employed in Jackson, Barrow, Banks, or Madison County, Georgia. Applicants must also have a minimum 3.0 GPA. To be considered for the scholarship, interested students must submit a copy of their transcripts, an essay, a current photo of themselves, and a 1,000-1,500-word essay answering “What is the impact of your first responder parent’s sacrifice on your life?
