Are you an Iowa high school senior passionate about increasing understanding of LGBT+ issues and reducing homophobia in your school and surrounding community? If so, consider applying for the First Friday Breakfast Club scholarship! As an educational, non-profit group for LGBT men, the First Friday Breakfast Club offers this $3,000 scholarship to multiple students each year who have demonstrated leadership in efforts to increase education and understanding of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBTQ+) issues and to reduce homophobia in their schools and/or communities. Just keep in mind that applicants must be planning on attending postsecondary education of any sort, as the scholarship goes towards your schooling costs. If you’re an Iowa high school senior passionate about LGBT activism and are looking for some help to pay off college, we encourage you to apply!
