The Scholarships360 Research Team reviews all scholarships individually and strives to exclude any scholarship where any of the below applies:

  • The scholarship requires a fee to apply
  • The scholarship provider’s privacy policy allows for the misuse of student data
  • The scholarship requires paid membership in an organization (with certain exceptions for reputable trade organizations and others)
  • Student are required to sign up for a site or service to apply*
  • The scholarship seems primarily used for lead generation** or idea harvesting purposes***
  • The scholarship website has many grammatical errors and/or advertisements
  • The scholarship or scholarship providing organization seem untrustworthy
  • There is no evidence the scholarship was previously awarded
  • The scholarship has not been awarded in the past 12 months
  • There is no available contact information

* There are certain exceptions to this, for example if the sponsoring organization is a major corporation or nonprofit with its own scholarship application system.

Scholarship Overview

Are you a rising college upperclassmen and aspiring accountant attending a college or university in Florida that is a partner of the FICPA Scholarship Foundation? If so, you may be eligible for some of the many FICPA Scholarship Foundation Scholarships! Bear in mind that applicants must also be FICPA members (membership is free) planning to sit for the CPA exam and be working towards fulfilling the requirements for certification in Florida. Lastly, applicants should indicate a desire to practice in the field of accounting as opposed to other disciplines and must indicate a desire to work in Florida.

There are a variety of scholarships available, offering between $1,000 and $5,000 to winning applicants. To find out more about each scholarship’s specific requirements, we recommend checking out their individual profiles on the FICPA (Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants) website. If you do fit the criteria for any of the scholarships, we encourage you to apply!
