Are you an Ohio State University student planning on studying Yiddish and/or Jewish studies abroad? Then consider applying for the Emily and George Severinghaus Beck Education Abroad Scholarship! Giving priority to students demonstrating financial need, the scholarship awards $2,000 to two students each year who are accepted to relevant study abroad programs. Just bear in mind that if your desired study abroad program is located in Israel, your acceptance of the award is contingent upon Ohio State’s approval of your travel there. Nonetheless, if you’re an Ohio State University student eager to study Yiddish or Jewish studies abroad, we encourage you to apply!
In order to be eligible for this scholarship you must be an Ohio State University student who will continue their enrollment the following academic year, be accepted to a study abroad program where you will be able to study Jewish/Yiddish studies, and have past foreign language experience, in addition to meeting the below eligibility requirements.
