Are you an ELA teacher at a public institution and a member of NCTE? If so, consider applying for the Edwyna Wheadon Postgraduate Training Scholarship! The scholarship is open to NCTE members who are ELA teachers at public institutions pursuing postgraduate training to enhance their teaching skills or career development.
The scholarship is funded by the National Council of Teachers of English, a United States professional organization for teachers of English and language arts at all levels. The NCTE offers resources to further the voice of experts and educators advocating for their students, all across the country. The scholarship works to support postgraduate students’ career development in teaching, which aligns with the NCTE’s mission to provide funding for English/Language Arts teachers working in public educational institutions. Every year, one recipient earns $500 to help pay for their educational expenses. If you are an ELA teacher and member of NCTE looking to continue your education, we encourage you to apply!
