Do you know a crusader for cardiopulmonary health and wellness? Well, the Dr. Charles H. Hudson Award for Cardiopulmonary Public Health may be the perfect opportunity for them! Whether you’re thinking of an individual, a group, or an organization dedicated to promoting the well-being of the heart and lungs, they could be in the running for this incredible award. Each year, the award grants a plaque and $500 cash, plus coach airfare, one night’s lodging, and registration to AARC Congress to individuals, groups, or organizations whose primary effort has promoted cardiopulmonary health and wellness.
To be considered for the scholarship, applicants must be nominated. Nominators must submit an ~1,000-word letter describing the nominees’ promotion of cardiopulmonary health, how the nominee is a role model for others “in terms of public health,” and more. They must also include any supporting documentation and, in the case of an individual, a curriculum vitae, on behalf of their nominee.

The American Respiratory Care Foundation is the nonprofit charitable arm of the respiratory care profession formed for the purpose of supporting research, education, and charitable activities. The ARCF seeks to educate the public about respiratory health, assist in the training and continuing education of health care providers, and improve the quality of our environment.
