Are you a current or incoming post-secondary student of Chinese descent who resides in Southern California? If so, the Domestic Students Scholarship may be a great opportunity for you! Each year, the scholarship awards $5,000 to multiple applicants who submit the best ~500-word essays addressing (1) what charity means to them and (2) why they need the scholarship. In addition, applicants must submit proof of U.S. citizenship, their parents’ most recent tax return, an official transcript, and two letters of recommendation. If you’re a Southern California resident of Chinese ancestry who is currently or will soon be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, we encourage you to apply! Morning Light Foundation (MLF) is a non-profit charitable organization (IRC501c3 exempt organization), based in Los Angeles and founded in 2005, that is dedicated to helping students with financial need both in China and in Southern California.
