Are you a post-secondary student who is active in the progressive movement? If so, consider applying for the Davis-Putter Scholarship Fund! Each year, the scholarship awards multiple grants worth up to $15,000. To apply, you must submit a personal statement, letter of recommendation, transcripts, and a Student Aid Report (SAR) or other evidence of financial need. While applicants active in any form of progressive movement are welcome to apply, preference may be given to those whose advocacy has taken place in the U.S. The fund was founded in 1961 by Horace Davis, the husband of teacher and political activist Marian Davis who fought for racial justice and labor rights.

This scholarship is open to students who meet the below eligibility requirements and are active in the progressive movement.
College & Graduate Students
Applicants must (1) be involved in in progressive movements for liberation, self-determination and social and economic justice in their communities and (2) be enrolled at a college or university or in a trade or technical program.
