The David M. Dolan Scholarship is given to a student conducting graduate research in statistics, mathematical modeling, data analysis, and/or quantitative decision support that advances the understanding and management of Great Lakes ecosystems. To apply, interested students must submit a brief title and extended abstract of their proposed research, including its relevance to the application of applied environmental statistics/modeling in studying the Great Lakes, as well as the application materials listed further below. Each year, one applicant will be awarded $3,000 to help fund their research, in addition to a one-year IAGLR (International Association for Great Lakes Research) membership. The International Association for Great Lakes Research (IAGLR) is a scientific organization made up of researchers studying the Laurentian Great Lakes, other large lakes of the world, and their watersheds, as well as those with an interest in such research.
