The David Arver Memorial Scholarship annually awards $1,000 to a high school senior or college student who plans to attend or is attending an accredited school in an avionics or aircraft maintenance program. The scholarship was established by Dutch and Ginger Arver in memory of their son, David. Dutch Arver was a long-time supporter of the AEA and served on the board of directors until his retirement. The Aircraft Electronics Association, founded in 1957, represents nearly 1,300 member companies in more than 40 countries, including approved maintenance organizations specializing in maintenance, repair and installation of aircraft electronics systems in general aviation aircraft. AEA membership also includes manufacturers of aircraft electronics equipment, instrument repair facilities, instrument manufacturers, airframe manufacturers, test equipment manufacturers, major distributors, engineers and educational institutions.
