The Scholarships360 Research Team reviews all scholarships individually and strives to exclude any scholarship where any of the below applies:

  • The scholarship requires a fee to apply
  • The scholarship provider’s privacy policy allows for the misuse of student data
  • The scholarship requires paid membership in an organization (with certain exceptions for reputable trade organizations and others)
  • Student are required to sign up for a site or service to apply*
  • The scholarship seems primarily used for lead generation** or idea harvesting purposes***
  • The scholarship website has many grammatical errors and/or advertisements
  • The scholarship or scholarship providing organization seem untrustworthy
  • There is no evidence the scholarship was previously awarded
  • The scholarship has not been awarded in the past 12 months
  • There is no available contact information

Scholarship Overview

Are you a student attending an occupational therapy school? If so, you might be interested in applying for the DAR Occupational/Physical Therapy Scholarship! The scholarship is open to students accepted to or currently enrolled in an accredited occupational therapy school. Those enrolled in art, music, and physical therapy programs are also eligible.

A non-profit organization called the Daughters of the American Revolution offers this in addition to many medical, history-related, and other types of scholarships. The organization is known for its lineage-based membership and history and is dedicated to the “historical preservation, promotion of education, and encouragement of patriotic endeavor.” Every year, two recipients are chosen to earn a $2,000 scholarship to help cover educational costs. If you are passionate about your occupational therapy education and are looking for a scholarship opportunity, we encourage you to apply!

Eligibility information

The scholarship is open to students with financial need who have been accepted to or are attending an accredited school of occupational therapy (including art, music, or physical therapy). Applicants must also meet the below eligibility requirements.
