The Daniel E. Lambert Memorial Scholarship honors the legacy of veterans by providing $1,000 to two (2) college students residing in Maine whose parents or grandparents are veterans. Applicants must be attending an accredited college or vocational-technical school and should demonstrate financial need. The Maine Department is a branch of the American Legion, a war veterans' organization dedicated to "enhanc[ing] the well-being of America's veterans, their families, our military, and our communities by our devotion to mutual helpfulness."
