The Dan M. Reichard, Jr. Scholarship recognizes individuals committed to a career in transit industry business administration/management. Advanced degree seekers are encouraged to apply. A strong interest in public transportation is a must, and applicants should be enrolled in an accredited institution. Sponsorship by an APTA member is necessary, and two letters of recommendation are required for new applicants. Renewing scholars need only submit one letter.
The American Public Transportation Foundation, since its inception in 1988, has awarded over $1,500,000 in scholarships to more than 350 deserving students. Their scholarships address a wide range of transportation related studies and fields for a variety of scholars. Whether you are an established transportation professional pursuing a degree or an upperclass undergraduate student, APTF extends a hand to those who see a bright future in transportation.
